This never happens. I never win giveaways. So, when I won one hosted by BeautyStat last February I was very excited. My prize was Clinique Superdefense Daily Moisturizer SPF 20 for combination and oily skin. I believe there were several different giveaways of this product at the time as Clinique was promoting the new formula. As it usually happens some consumers were unhappy about this change, especially since SPF rating of this product was decreased. I never tried the old version, so I can’t compare the two, but I liked the new one. The product is very creamy, it applies smoothly, and white residue so typical for sunscreens disappears quickly. It is very moisturizing provides broad spectrum protection. It also contains a number of ingredients that help to reverse previous sun damage. However, there due to the jar packaging, it’s hard to tell how much of those you skin is getting. Of course you always can transfer the cream into a generic tube, but given the price, I really feel that the manufacturer should have done it and not me. My other complaint is that it leaves slightly shiny and not particularly attractive film on my skin.
Bottom Line: I went through the whole jar over a course of several months, and overall, I like this cream, but I wouldn’t purchase it on my own, as I feel that there are better (and cheaper) alternatives.
