Ipsy GlamBag January 2015 – Pacifica Eye Shadow in Treasure and Bellapierre Shimmer Powder in Exite

This is second month in a row that I like my Ipsy Bag, better than Birchbox.
This time I got:
– Pacifica Eye Shadow in Treasure
– Bellapierre Shimmer Powder in Exite
– Elizabeth Mott All Over Shadow Brush
– Nourish Organic Eye Cream
– Malin+Goetz mojito lip balm
Last time Pacifica eye shadow was sent a lot of people complained, so I was a bit worried. So far I actually like it. It’s pretty pigmented, and the color is definitely up my alley. Bellapierre shimmer powder on the other hand gave a slight… surprise. First of all, my GlamRoom had a picture of bronze-colored powder and I failed to realize that there is more than one color being sent out. Bronze one was really my thing. However, I got white one. Getting out of your comfort zone is good (slowly repeat three times… or till it works). I figured I’ll be brave and give it a try. I expected it to be white, but on my skin it shows up more as almost colorless shimmer, than white. For some irrational reason, I kind of like this stuff. So I’m currently trying to figure out where women in her mid-thirties who works in corporate settings can where this without looking ridiculous. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Makeup brushes are always welcome here, and Elizabeth Mott Brush is no exception. I like eye creams even though I nurture belief you don’t necessarily need one, and using gentle face cream in your eye are is fine. Word “organic” in the name annoys me, but no enough to disregard the product. I’ll try it. Lip balm is the least exiting item this month, but I heard a lot about Malin+Goetz brand, and I’m intrigued.

Bottom Line: great bag. My only complain is that it contains 2 (two!) skin care items. Come on Ipsy, the main reason I subscribed to you is that you are mostly makeup. Get you act together!
