Laura Mercier Eye Pencil in Violet
Laura Mercier Eye Pencil in Violet

Birchbox was the last of my subscriptions to arrive this month. I suspect that it had to do with the fact I picked Cuppa Cuppa Firming Mask as my sample choice.  From what I read on, boxes with Cuppa Cuppa shipped a bit later than others this month. Once the contents of my box was revealed on Birchbox web site, I was disappointed to find out that my choice was not included in the box. I  decided to wait till I get the box before I contact customer service. Which proved to be a wise decision. The box I received was larger than normally, it contained a box and my Cuppa Cuppa sample separately. My November box contained:
– Camille Beckman Hand Cream
– Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel
– Tony & Guy Gloss Serum
– MAKE Eye Make Up Remover
– Laura Mercier Eye Pencil in Violet
– Maple Bacom ChocoPod
– Cuppa Cuppa Firming Mask
Laura Mercier pencil is the fourth purple eye pencil I received from my subscriptions. Ironically it is also my favorite one. It combines very wearable shade and impressive ability to stay put through out the day. It doesn’t last 12 hours promised on Birchbox web site, but it’s still pretty good. Camille Beckman Hand Cream is totally unremarkable cream with lemon-y scent. It will get used. Tony & Guy Serum consists mostly of silicones, which makes it totally unusable for me. Silicones and my hair do not play well together. Make up removers always come handy, and this one is pretty decent. Even though I  already have holy grail product, this one will eventually get used. ChocoPod got devoured within minutes of me opening the box. It didn’t really smell like/taste maple or bacon. I didn’t get a chance to try Juice Beauty peel or Cuppa Cuppa mask yet, but I’m really looking forward to that. When sample choice for November was announced I was torn between these two, so I was quite happy to get both of them. I feel that both of these products are a bit gimmicky, but I really want to try them if find out for myself whether they work or not.

Bottom Line: decent box, even if not the most exiting one. I’m more forgiving with Birchbox, then I’m with my other subscriptions because of their great point system. Even if I don’t like my samples, I still get to review them for points.
