Birchbox May 2014

Better late then never…
As June arrived and I received a notification that  my June box has shipped, I realized that I never posted review for the May one. It arrived pretty late due to some issue with Birchbox warehouse. I didn’t really mind since I was busy with some other stuff and they gave me 100 “sorry” points.
After disappointment with April box, I decided that not having expectations is the best policy.  This approach seems to work a lot better with subscription box (and many other thing in life) then expecting something outstanding and not getting it. I feel that this approach is the main reason I feel a lot better about May box, then I did about April one.

This time I got Caldrea Body Wash and Body Lotion, Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Overnight Detox Oil, CoTZ Face Natural Skin Tone SPF40, Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Glisten and Miss Jessie’s Original Quick Curls. There also was discount coupon for Kate Spade Saturday, but I misplaced it before I got a chance to take pictures. Quick Curls was the most exiting product by far. I am still looking for my perfect “curly” product, so opportunity to try something new without a commitment of purchasing full size product is always welcome. Lip Gloss was my second favorite item, as I’m currently on the prowl for new lip products. CoTZ SPF40

product seemed pretty meh at first, but it grew on me since them. Now I’m glad I got it. I don’t care much for Caldrea and Claudalie products. If fact I haven’t even open them yet.

All in all this is a good box. My only gripe about it is the fact that there was no single full size or even travel size product. However, there was total of six samples, and no food items or fragrances, which is pretty good.
Are you a Birchbox Subscriber? How did you like your May box?
